James “Sprout” Weekes has been part of the Quad Cities community for more than 35 years. For the past 16 years, he has farmed in Chino Valley, successfully growing produce, trees, flowers, and a wide range of other plants using organic, no‑till methods. His commitment to sustainability includes regularly sharing surplus harvests with the community to help reduce food waste.
James also earned a certificate in Production Horticulture from Yavapai College, further strengthening his technical expertise. Over the years, he has advised neighbors and friends on how to achieve similar success in their own gardens and farms. Now, he is expanding that support by offering professional consulting services to the broader Quad Cities area, with the goal of increasing organic, sustainable plant growth throughout our region.
